Not much has progressed with the BluRayer Facebook app, we have
a development version of it about 40% done - But due to some of the
restrictions developing a Facebook app has, we are having to
rethink a few things and how we are going to approach it.

Hopefully after this next phase of development on BluRayer,
we'll jump straight back on with the Facebook app and hope to have
something done by October/November... (Notice I didn't put a year
down!).

Well after a break away from BluRayer development, I thought it
was about time we started to move BluRayer out of Beta and into a
stable version.

We have had some excellent feedback from
everyone using BluRayer, and fixed a few bugs from the feedback -
Over the next 4 weeks we'll be adding some new functionality (Again
based on your great feedback) and hope to improve the admin UI so
it looks even better and is easier than ever to use.

I know we are not breaking any records, but we currently
have over 105 people from all over the world
signed up and using BluRayer - And we hope this continues to rise
over the coming months.

Remember without you guys n gals telling everyone about the
site, then we won't continue to grow as we have - So please keep
spreading the word, and huge thanks to you all again for signing up
and using the site in its first month.

Well I think Beta v1 is finally ready to go live, I have just
done a VERY quick and dirty screen cast for the video in the home
page. And I'm currenly half way through uploading it to
Vimeo, so hopefully in half an hour or so I can get the embed
code.

For Beta v1 I'm just leaving the banner ad place holders where
they are, and once I any major bugs have reared their horrible
heads. I can fix them and look at setting up the ad/banner
management.

Heres the screen shot used in the screencast

If you have built your own web apps, you will know how
frustrating it is as you want to put so many things into it but
time is always against you!

But hopefully this Beta will have enough features for people to
use the site in a useful way :)

Well I wasn't sure at one point as to whether I would actually
get this site launched, but we Beta 1 looks like it really is going
to go live in a couple of days.

I'll spend tomorrow just tweaking a couple more things and half
a day of some final styling tweaks and then we'll run with what we
have for the moment.

Fingers crossed nothing major breaks just yet!

Well as we are getting closer to the Alpha testing part of this
little build - I thought I would start jotting down what still
needs to be done to get this into a fully functional site.

MAN you just forget how long all the little BORING bits are
going to take, for example getting this blog working properly with
comments etc.. I managed to sign up to Twitter so please
follow me on there

http://twitter.com/blurayer

Once the site is a bit more styled and Alpha testing is out the
way, then I'll look at getting the brand sorted properly and
consistent through all the social media areas.

26/07/10

The ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings
against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy
the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam
Worthington) leads a dangerous mission to defeat Hades (Ralph
Fiennes) before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and
unleash hell on earth.

Pre-Order from Amazon today

From what we have heard the video and sound quality on this
BluRay is supposed to be outstanding. And with some of
the most advanced CGI we have seen (apart from Avatar of course),
I'm personally looking forward to getting this and have had it on
pre-order for the last few weeks.

BluRayer is starting to take shape, we are about to go into
Alpha testing and then I'm going to look at releasing the
application in Beta within a couple of weeks.

Already from the handful of people I have shown the site to, I
have had great feedback and a couple of brilliant suggestions.
One of which I will be integrating straight into the first
main beta as I think its such a good suggestion.

Hopefully when we are all launched you'll agree that the wait
for these new tweaks has been worth it.
